‘Holly Jolly Spritz’

This vibrantly festive cocktail brings delight to holiday gatherings with its brilliant red hue and lively blend of flavors. Earthy, smooth tequila pairs beautifully with the tart sweetness of fresh pomegranate juice, while a splash of sparkling wine adds an elegant, effervescent touch. Finished with a hint of lime and garnished with pomegranate seeds and a sprig of fresh rosemary, this cocktail is as striking as it is delicious.

To make this cocktail non-alcoholic, simply replace with a splash of sparkling water and a non-alcoholic tequila alternative like ALMAVE. You’ll still get all the festive flavors from the pomegranate juice, lime, and rosemary, along with the same beautiful presentation. It's a perfect option for holiday guests who prefer a refreshing, zero-proof version!

Perfect for toasting with friends and family, it’s a refreshing, sophisticated drink that captures the sparkle and warmth of the holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Tequila

  • ¾ oz Italian Aperitivo (my fave is Cappelletti Aperitivo)

  • 1 oz Pomegranate juice

  • ½ oz Grapefruit juice

  • ½ oz Rosemary Syrup

  • Top w/ Sparkling Wine

ROsemary SYRUP

Simmer and Stir: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup cane sugar and 1 cup water. Add in 3-4 sprigs fresh rosemary. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Infuse the Flavor: Lower the heat and let the mixture simmer gently for about 5-10 minutes. The longer it simmers, the more intense the flavor.

Cool and Strain: Remove from heat and let the syrup cool. Strain out the solids using a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.

Store: Pour the syrup into a clean glass jar or bottle. Seal tightly and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

BATCH FOR HOLIDAY PARTIES

To easily make this cocktail into a pre-batched punch for holiday parties, mix the juices, tequila, and syrup ahead of time in a large pitcher or punch bowl and chill until ready to serve. Increase the measurements based on your number of guests.

Just before guests arrive, add ice and top with sparkling water or champagne for a festive, bubbly finish. Garnish each glass with fresh pomegranate seeds and rosemary sprigs, and your crowd-pleasing holiday cocktail is ready with minimal effort!
