Cherry Blossom Fizz

The Cherry Blossom Fizz is a light, floral cocktail that feels like spring in a glass. The gin's botanical notes blend beautifully with the tart sweetness of fresh cherries, while jasmine tea offers lovely floral undetones. Refreshingly effervescent, it’s a delightful choice for a spring gathering or garden party, offering a bright yet delicate profile that captures the spirit of cherry blossoms in bloom.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz gin (floral gin works well. Try Las Californias or Condesa)

  • 0.5 oz cherry simple syrup

  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 0.5 oz jasmine tea

  • 2 oz soda water to top 

  • Fresh cherries (pitted), for the syrup 

  • Cherry blossom or edible flower, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add all ingredients to a shaker, then fill the shaker with ice.

  • Shake well and strain into a highball glass over ice.

  • Top with soda water and give a gentle stir.

  • Garnish with a cherry blossom or edible flower for a delicate touch

CHERRY SYRUP

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup cane sugar and 1 cup water. Add in 1 cup fresh (or frozen) cherries, pits removed.

Simmer and Stir: Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Infuse the Flavor: Lower the heat and let the mixture simmer gently for about 5-10 minutes. The longer it simmers, the more intense the flavor.

Cool and Strain: Remove from heat and let the syrup cool. Strain out the solids using a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.

Store: Pour the syrup into a clean glass jar or bottle. Seal tightly and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
